Valley Brook Farm

Driving up to Valley Brook Farm, black fencing leads your eye to a bright red barn. The building stands out against its lush green surroundings of tall trees, plush grass, and newly planted grapevines. Still, it feels like it always belonged there. There is nothing “big city” about it, and that’s what makes it so special. I fell in love immediately.

Danielle Riggan, who owns the venue with her husband Matthew, gave me a full tour of the inside and grounds. She told me that her husband and her family built the venue themselves. I was very impressed. You would be too if you saw it. The venue is made of wood, giving it a rustic charm and that SMELL – oh, that smell – that you just want to bottle up and take home. Twinkle lights are hung on the ceilings, there are rocking chairs on the porch perfect for taking in views of the lake, and there were so many little touches that I knew I had to capture in the brand design. When Danielle finished giving me the tour I was completely inspired and knew immediately what I pictured for the brand: hand-drawn sketches and a mix of traditional and modern fonts.

Google Review

“Courtney did an amazing job creating our brand. When I met Courtney it seemed as though we were friends catching up and that's when I knew I had chosen the perfect person to create our brand. We own and operate a wedding venue in Mount Airy and Courtney captured our essence in the logo that she created for us. She was very responsive and communicative during the process of creating our "look." She sent two logo ideas and it was honestly difficult to decide which one to choose. Courtney was always very professional, courteous, and understanding. We at Valley Brook Farm highly recommend Courtney for all branding needs.”
